Waveforms on the other hand expanded the product catalog into the area of precision audio test instruments. The acquisition of Teletronix from Babcock allowed SEC to begin production of the popular LA-2A compressor. Studio Electronics acquired two additional brands in 1967: Teletronix and Waveforms. This merger also coincided with another relocation, this time to a 8,100 square foot premises at 11922 Valerio Street in North Hollywood. While Universal Audio as a company was eventually absorbed by Studio Electronics in December, 1965, the brand itself continued with individual products retaining the Universal Audio label. The focus of SEC was the creation of fully-fledged studio systems built around the equipment produced by Universal Audio. and rebranded it as the Studio Electronics Corporation (SEC). In 1961, United Recording acquired Studio Supply Co. These processors also served as components in custom recording consoles built by Universal Audio for various studios.

You can do this from the Device Manager and preferably from the BIOS.
Uad plugins free#
It would be a good idea to disable all devices that you are not using to free up valuable IRQ's (Printer Port, both Comm Ports, floppy dive, unused USB ports, onboard audio are ones that I have disabled in my DAW). One reason why I went to an all PCIe UAD card system ( UAD-2 QUAD + UAD-2 SOLO + UAD-1e). This has to do with the enhanced PCIe bus being more robust and efficient so sharing is not an issue. UAD PCIe (UAD-1e & UAD-2) cards are not affected. BTW, UAD cards can share IRQ's between each other. When I had a (4) UAD-1 card system (2 PCI + 2 PCIe) I made sure all my UAD-1 PCI cards had there own IRQ. When they are sharing IRQ's (especially with audio cards and USB Host Controllers which are always polling every 5 seconds or so whether being used or not) this data flow can be interrupted as each device fights for priority. Look at it this way, the UAD plugins need uninterrupted data flow to/from the UAD cards. It's never a good idea to have UAD-1 PCI cards sharing IRQ's and sharing with USB Host Controllers & audio cards are the worst of the bunch. Sharing is with: audio controller (maudio 1010LT), Ethernet controller and USB controller.
